Description
This Large Mosasaur jaw belonged to a "Prognothodon" Mosasaur which was one of the largest of Mosasaur species that roamed the Cretaceous oceans of N.Africa 100 million yrs ago. This specimen has been completely excavated from the matrix. It has been repaired and/or restored in several areas where it was fractured. Some of the teeth have been reattached which is typical for these type of specimens. On the reverse side of the jaw, the erupting teeth are clearly visible which is a great feature.
