Description
This Aletai iron meteorite pendant is made from a genuine slice of meteorite, it is set in Stainless steel and sealed in acrylic to preserve the meteorite. This meteorite features the classic Widmanstätten pattern which is the result of cutting and and etching.
Aletai iron meteorite which was discovered in China in the county of "Aletai". The total estimated mass is said to be over 100 tons spread across a large strewn field of approximately 425 km. The largest mass weighing 28 tons was recently discovered in a pasture near the the city of Aletai. This meteorites is primarily composed of: kamacite, taenite, and plessite.
