Description

This is a slice of Sericho pallasite meteorite. It features amazing details in the crystals. I has been professionally cut and preserved.

Jericho pallasite meteorite was discovered in 2016 by two brothers who were searching for their camels and came across several large, dense stones west of the village of Habaswein and south of Sericho, Kenya. Most Pallasites are composed of approximately 50% Olivine, and 50% nickel-iron. This particular meteorite had a high crystal density upwards of 70-80% olivine. Pure Olivine is usually green, but the olivine crystals in this meteorite took on a yellow, orange hue during its long voyage to earth.
