Description

This tooth belonged to a Rebbachisaurus which was a genus of sauropod dinosaur of the superfamily Diplodocoidea, that lived during the Late Cretaceous period in Africa about 99-97 million years ago.
This large plant eating sauropod had relatively small head in proportion to its size, and long graceful neck and an equally long whip-like tail which it may have used to counterbalance its long neck. It's teeth were long and slender with a chisel-like tip, perfect for processing the massive quantities of vegetation that it consumed on a daily basis. Rebbachisaurus may have weighed up to 15,000 lbs, and measured between 46-66 ft long.

This specimen is in good condition featuring good detail and color.
