Description
This authentic "Bes" Egyptian amulet bead is a very unique specimen. Bes was a Deity worshipped as a protector of households, and in particular of mothers, children, and childbirth. Bes later came to be regarded as the defender of everything good and enemy of all that is bad. It dates back to the third intermediate period (1075-715 BC)
