Description
This Acheulean hand Axe dates back to the age of HOMO erectus. Its coarse napping is a testament to its age. It is beautifully patinated from being buried the Sahara desert sand for thousands of years. This tool may have been used as a throwing weapon for hunting animals at watering holes, or for chopping and crushing bone to extract bone marrow which was a good source of protein.
