Description
Nanotyrannus meaning "Dwarf tyrant" us a genus of tyrannosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 67 million years ago. Anatomically, Nanotyrannus was very similar in skeletal structure to T-rex.
Nanotyrannus likely had sharp, serrated teeth and an agile build, suggesting it was a quick, nimble predator. It may have weighed up to 1 ton, and measured up to 16' long.
Previously, there has been some debate over whether or not Nanotyrannus was a juvenile T-rex or its own separate species, but a recent study by two notable paleontologist concluded that it is in fact its own species.
This Nanotyrannus tooth is well preserved, It has excellent serration, color and preservation.
