Description
This impressive Spinosaurus claw originates from the renowned Kem Kem Beds of the Sahara Desert in Morocco, a region celebrated for its rich Cretaceous-era fossil deposits. Measuring 6.5 inches, this fossilized claw likely belonged to the massive theropod Spinosaurus, one of the largest known carnivorous dinosaurs. The specimen displays the classic curvature and robust structure characteristic of Spinosaurus hand claws.
As with most fossils from this region, this claw exhibits typical repair and/or restoration, which is common and expected due to the fragility of the original material. Despite this, the specimen retains excellent overall form and detail, making it a valuable addition to any fossil collection, museum display, or educational setting. A genuine piece of prehistoric history from North Africa.
